At Mavely, compliance isn’t just about rules—it’s about trust, transparency, and fairness for every Creator. Our Compliance Team is committed to safeguarding creators from impersonation, misuse, and violations that could compromise the experience for everyone.
We’re proud to offer a platform that removes the traditional barriers to affiliate marketing. But with that accessibility comes responsibility—and that’s where compliance and the Compliance Verification process play a critical role.
How the Compliance Team Safeguards You
The Mavely Compliance Team is responsible for:
- Verifying the identity of every creator.
- Ensuring all users adhere to FTC guidelines and industry best practices
- Monitoring for suspicious activity or policy violations throughout your time with Mavely
- Investigating reports of impersonation or misuse.
We conduct two thorough account reviews for every creator:
- At Sign-Up
- Before Your First Payout
This two-step verification ensures that we can maintain a trustworthy, secure environment—while keeping opportunities accessible to all.
Reporting Impersonation
If you believe another user is impersonating you or using your content on Mavely, please report it immediately using our Impersonation Form.
How to Stay Compliant
The best way to ensure compliance is to be fully transparent with who you are, where you promote brands, and by following the FTC guidelines.
Always:
- Use your full legal name, correct email, and valid phone number in your account.
- Complete your payment profile accurately—this is essential for tax filing and payout purposes.
-
Link the social profile you plan to use most often to promote Mavely links.
- Make sure your profile is active and reflects Mavely’s values
- Disclose partnerships correctly (e.g., #ad, #sponsored, commission disclosure) and follow FTC guidelines.
- Respect brand terms and Mavely’s Terms & Policies when posting.
- Each brand has unique T&Cs that are located within the app. Click on the brand name and then ‘More Info’ to see all relevant information.
Understanding the Compliance Process
After sign-up, accounts are reviewed within 1–3 business days. Based on the review from the Compliance team, your account will be marked as one of the following:
- Your account will be Verified.
- Your account will be placed on Hold and you will be asked for additional information.
- Your account will be Removed.
Verified
The Compliance team has reviewed all of the relevant information and determined you meet the criteria to move on to the next steps. No further action is needed at this stage.
On Hold
This means the Compliance team has reviewed all of the information and the team is unable to verify that your account meets the minimum requirements to move forward.
Next steps:
- If your account is placed on hold, you will be automatically emailed instructions detailing the information required to verify your Mavely account. You must respond directly within that email thread.
- If our compliance team does not receive a response within 3 weeks, your account will be removed and marked as unverifiable.
Removed
If your account is removed, the decision is final and irreversible.
Our compliance team conducts a thorough and extensive review of each case before making any decisions. As a result, there is no appeal process available. You are not permitted to create a new account in the future.
