Inside Your Analytics Dashboard
Mavely provides several key performance indicators (KPIs) to help you track and optimize your earnings.
Here’s a breakdown of the main metrics you’ll find in your dashboard:
- Total Sales – The total amount of revenue generated from your shared links.
- Clicks – The number of times users click on your Mavely-generated links.
- Commission Earned – The amount of commission you have earned from completed transactions.
- Conversion Rate – The percentage of clicks that result in completed transactions.
Using this data effectively can help you refine your promotional strategies and focus on the highest-performing brands and products.
Is Data Reporting Immediate?
Data typically appears within hours, but timing can vary by brand:
- Most brands: Real-time or within a few hours
- Some brands: 24–48 hours
- A few brands: Up to 7+ business days
If something looks off, give it a bit of time before assuming data is missing.
Filtering and Custom Date Ranges
The Mavely analytics dashboard is designed to be flexible, allowing you to filter data and adjust time frames based on your needs.
Available Time Filters:
- 1d – Past day
- 1w – Past 7 days
- 1m – Past 30 days
- 3m – Past 90 days
- MTD – Current month
- YTD – Current year
Setting a Custom Range
To view your earnings for a specific processing period, you can set a custom date range in your Analytics dashboard.
Example: To review data for the December 15 payout, set your custom range to November 1–15 (this matches the commission cycle for that payout).
- Tap the calendar icon in the Analytics tab
- Select your start and end dates
- Tap Apply to update the data view

FAQs About Analytics
Why doesn’t my data match what I expected?
If your dashboard data seems off, consider the following:
- Delayed Reporting: Some transactions take longer to report, depending on the merchant.
- Pending vs. Confirmed Transactions: Commissions are often shown as “Pending” until verified by the brand.
- Returns or Cancellations: If a customer cancels or returns a purchase, the commission may be reversed. Read more here: Adjustments to Payouts
- Tracking Limitations: Ad blockers, browser privacy settings, and declined cookies may block tracking for a small number of users.
What should I do if my data looks incorrect?
We recommend reviewing this help guide to learn more: Missing Transactions
If you believe that there is a possibility of a missing transaction in your analytics, you are more than welcome to submit an Order Inquiry form.
To fill out an order inquiry form, click here and include the following:
- Brand Name
- Order Date
- Order Subtotal
- Order ID (OID) or Transaction ID
Incomplete forms cannot be processed. Please include all required info to assist our team in investigating.
Why do I have so many clicks with no sales?
This is often referred to as your conversion ratio: the percentage of clicks that turn into sales.
A low conversion ratio can happen for several reasons:
- Where you’re promoting the brand
- How you are promoting the brand
- Which brands you choose to promote
If you’re unsure how to improve your conversion rate, reach out to your Influencer Development Specialist (IDS) or Creator Success Manager (CSM) for guidance.
Why didn’t this sale track?
A sale may not track for several common reasons:
-
Attribution rules
Affiliate programs use a last-click model. If another affiliate link, coupon site, or browser extension was clicked after yours, the sale may be credited elsewhere. -
Ad or cookie blockers
If a follower blocks or declines cookies, the brand may be unable to track the purchase. -
Cookie duration
Each brand has a set cookie duration. Purchases made outside that window will not track. -
Coupon code usage
Some coupon codes are exclusive to specific sites or creators and may override attribution. -
Link not used at checkout
The follower may not have completed the purchase through your affiliate link. -
Delayed tracking
Some brands do not report sales in real time. Transactions may take 3–5 business days or longer to appear.
Please note that affiliate tracking depends on multiple external factors. Final sale and commission attribution are determined by each brand, not by Mavely. For more details, see Missing Transactions.
Why didn’t my sale earn a commission?
When a shopper clicks your link, the entire order is tracked, not just the item you promoted. You can earn commission on any eligible items in that order, even if they are different from what you shared. If none of the purchased items qualify for commission, the transaction will appear in your Analytics with $0 commission.
This can happen when an order includes only non-commissionable items or when only a small portion of the order is eligible. $0 commission transactions are shown to provide full visibility into your link performance.
How do I know which items are commissionable?
To see which items are eligible for commission, review the brand’s Brand Card, where you’ll find commission terms and any product exclusions.
Please note that some high-ticket items are non-commissionable across affiliate networks and may not earn commission, even if you’ve created a link for them.
Where did my analytics data go?
By default, your Analytics dashboard will show month to date data. On the 1st of the month, your analytics will reset back to zero. To view a previous period, go to Analytics then select the calendar icon and filter by date.
How can I tell if my link is working correctly?
If clicks are tracking in your Analytics, this usually means that your links are working as expected. Many clicks on your links do not always result in a sale. You may notice a lower conversion ratio if:
- You don’t frequently promote a specific brand
- You are promoting a brand for the first time
- You are promoting a brand to an audience that may not be interested in that product
Check if the low conversions are happening with one brand or with all of your links. This can help you decide whether the issue is related to tracking or if you might need to consider a different approach.
